News 05.04.2007 Update for AVRISP mk2 clone There were some communication errors with avrdude every once in a while. Unfortunately I only get a small feedback about errors. Please tell me if there are any problems or errors. Or there are no errors but I can't really imagine that... So please send any reports to sauter@ixbat.de! Oh, and please sign up for the mailing list: https://lists.berlios.de/mailman/listinfo/usbprog-pub 22.03.2007 New version for AVRISP mk2 clone!!! By now, more and more people use usbprog as programming adapter. Thatswhy I've been sent a few error reports. So I developed a new version. Now it should work just fine. If some new errors occur just tell me! At this point I want to thank Thomas Wollenhaupt! He kept sending me patches frequently. The downloads are available in the firmware pool as usual. 12.03.2007 usbprog.exe / usbprog console update program for Windows and Linux As the graphical program only worked on Linux so far, I finally had enough time to figure out why it didn't work on Windows. Long story short, the library responsible for the update mechanism works now on Windows and Linux. There will be a graphical program in near future but for starters a console program should make it much easier. For further information click here. I'm also going to work on unsolved problems. I've been sent an ATMega48. There are, as are with the ATMega8, still problems with flash operations. ATTENTION: You have to install the newest usbprog_base.hex to use the console tool! 03.03.20007 New firmware: RS232 converter Every lucky usbprog owner has now a RS232 converter, supported by any common operating system. For futher information on the firmware click here. 19.02.2007 Back from the Embedded World - The tool for changing the firmware is now almost completely converted for Windows
- The firmware avrispmk2.bin is now supported entirely by avrdude except for reading flash (-c avrispv2 -P usb, ab Version 5.2)
- Using AVR Studio 4 an error sometimes occurs concerning the clock of the programming interface. As soon as I have solved the problem I will let you know
- Besides the graphical program usbprog-online there now is a small console program. With this program you can directly install a local firmware: usbprog avrispmk2.bin (only for Linux, there will be a Windows version soon)
